We're excited to announce the reopening of our Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - City West today (1st April 2020), to those travelling for essential purposes. The hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment and a rebrand from Holiday Inn to Holiday Inn Express. Our hotel will be open to leisure guests from the 26th of April depending on government guidance and will be the ideal base for both business and leisure travellers.
Ideally located, the hotel is less than a 10-minute drive from Haymarket Train Station and is within a short driving distance of key attractions such as Murrayfield Stadium and Edinburgh Zoo. Guests of the hotel will also have access to free on-site parking and an Express Start breakfast included in the price - championing simple, smart travel by serving as a no-fuss basecamp where guests can work, rest, relax and recharge.
All 129 newly refurbished rooms feature the Holiday Inn Express ‘Next Generation’ room design, aimed at enhancing the guest experience and equipping travellers with everything they need for a great stay. Key features include guest-controlled air-conditioning, blackout curtains, high-quality bedding, a power shower, and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Rooms are also fitted with smart design features such as a flexible workspace, flat-screen TV, ergonomically designed chairs and ample USB ports and plug sockets next to the bed. Some of the rooms have views across Edinburgh including Edinburgh Castle.
