Give us a brief summary of your current role at Atlas Hotels
My current role is Hotel Operations Manager at Holiday Inn Express Exeter M5.
I am responsible for the health & happiness of my team & guests from the minute they walk through the door to the minute they leave.
Atlas career started way back in 2012 when a pint cost less than £4, Snapchat was born & Movember was sweeping the nation! I started as a Nights Supervisor & progressed to Nights Manager 18 months later. 2 Years on, I moved on to days to become Guest Service Manager. When our new Hotel in Exeter City Centre opened in 2019 I became Deputy General Manager at M5 on, of all dates, 1st April 2019 (No joke!)
Tell us about your life outside of work, what would people normally find you doing?
When not at work you will find me following my Rugby Team- Exeter Chiefs. Work - Eat - Rugby - Repeat.
What are you most grateful for in 2020?
In 2020 I was honestly most grateful for my HOM role! Checking on the hotel every day kept my life fairly usual- In a very unusual time of life!

The Atlas value that means most to me is “Working Together.” I am a firm believer that if you do what you love- you will never work a day in your life. My team are my focus. If they are happy our guests are happy.
If you had to pick one song that got you through 2020, which song would it be?
And as for the song that got me through 2020 has got me through life- Oasis: Wonderwall. Because who doesn’t love a good karaoke sesh!
