I have worked within hospitality for 12 years, 8 and a half of which have been with Atlas Hotels. Whilst with Atlas I have worked in 4 of our hotels within numerous roles including being part of the breakfast team, team member/leader roles, DGM, GM and currently as COM (Cluster Operations Manager). Within my cluster, I am responsible for Holiday Inn Express Birmingham NEC, Oldbury, Droitwich and Warwick. As COM I’m accountable for translating the Atlas Vision, coaching and mentoring the HOMs and being able to provide tactical solutions to operational challenges.
I am currently walking segments of the South West Coast Path stretching 630 miles from Minehead through Devon and Cornwall and finishing in Poole Somerset. Although lockdown has this on freeze! Otherwise, you’ll find me on the golf course or running.
I feel we have all adapted extremely well in such trying times, the HOMs and the teams in the hotels within my cluster have all been extremely patient, understanding and flexible to change throughout the pandemic. My ability to adapt has only been enhanced by their support. The biggest challenge… remembering my face mask when visiting hotels!
I am looking forward to working with my HOM’s to help them develop their skills and create a rewarding place to work for their teams.
