Give us a brief summary of your current role at Atlas Hotels
My career in hospitality started working for Atlas in April/2018 and also that was my first job opportunity in the UK. Working for a major company in hospitality was very challenging. However, I was ready to do my best to be successful. Sometimes, life gives us opportunities and I decided to accept a job offer to work for another hotel, and after a while, I realized that even though I was grateful for the experience, I wasn’t completely happy with my choice.
Then the first lockdown happened and life changed for us all. Due to redundancy, I was looking for a job, and Atlas was looking for someone for the nights' team. It was my chance to come back. I was offered the job and it felt like home. Currently, I’m a Team Leader, and I feel that right now this is the best moment of my professional life, working for the best team, in an organization that believes and invests in its employees. This is the best of both worlds for me
Tell us about your life outside of work, what would people normally find you doing?
You’ll find me in my kitchen. During this lockdown period, I had a chance to improve my baking skills, producing bread and cakes and now, I’m starting to learn the world of cheese making. I also enjoy photography so I’m always around with my camera or drone shooting some beautiful landscapes in the country.
What are you most grateful for in 2020?
Definitely having the opportunity to work for Atlas again. Also, for being healthy and full of energy for a challenging 2021.
Which one of the Atlas values means the most to you and why? (Be Guest Focused, Work Together, Show Commitment, Strive for Quality)
We are an amazing team. Together the team can do more for our guests. Having a happy guest in our hotel is priceless.
If you had to pick one song that got you through 2020, which song would it be?
Don’t Stop Believin’!
