Meet Lynsey, Hotel Operations Manager in bonnie Scotland at Holiday Inn Express Glasgow - City Centre Riverside. We spoke to Lynsey about the challenges she's faced this year and what she's most looking forward to in the future. Have a read!

Tell us a bit about yourself - how long have you worked in hospitality and what is your role in Atlas?

I started when I was 18 and haven’t looked back since my first role as a Guest Service Assistant. From then, I worked up the ladder to the role of General Manager in 2017 at our Newcastle Metro hotel, my current role is Hotel Operations Manager back home in Glasgow.

What could people catch you getting up to when you aren't working?

Depending on which season we're in, hiking, snowboarding, or Netflixing.

How well are you adapting to the current changes working in the hotel industry?

This has always been a fast-paced industry, but now we are adapting with a lower number of guests with a focus on constant communication, so you are always on the ball. Our biggest challenge is ensuring that we have everyone’s safety and wellbeing at the forefront of our minds, whilst giving our guests the great service an Atlas hotel is known to deliver.

Looking to the future, what are you most looking forward to working in the Atlas family?

Developing my new team, to create the next generation of HOMs whilst making use of the great support network the Atlas family provides.
