Give us a brief summary of your current role at Atlas Hotels

I started working for Atlas Hotels as a Team Leader at Salford Quays, then made my way to Stafford as a Deputy General Manager and became HOM at Manchester East in March 2020.

Tell us about your life outside of work, what would people normally find you doing? 

Pre-pandemic you’d usually find me travelling and exploring somewhere new with my dog in tow or meeting up with friends and family.

Tell us more about the last year at Manchester East and how you adjusted to operating the hotel differently

Manchester East has taken on a huge challenge that was meant to only be for three months. 13 months later we are bracing ourselves to get ready to reopen to the public and we could not be more excited. I will never forget the positivity of my team, the hard work we have endured and the dedication of all parties involved. The Social Care Group will always have a special place in my heart and I am so proud of what we have achieved - providing a home for the residents and helping them rebuild their lives.

Which one of the Atlas values means the most to you and why? (Be Guest Focused, Work Together, Show Commitment, Strive for Quality)

If 2020 has shown me anything, it’s the importance of working together, (whether that’s at Team Level, Cluster Level or Atlas Level) This value has shone through and I think we can all agree it has been a lot easier having our colleagues understand what we have been going through

If you had to pick one song that got you through 2020, which song would it be?

It’s hard to pick one, but I was obsessed with Hamilton during lockdown so probably that soundtrack…
