Meet Tyler, part of the HR squad in our Central Team - Joining Atlas earlier this year, we caught up with Tyler to see how she has settled in...

Give us a brief summary of your current role at Atlas Hotels

My current role is as the HR Operations Manager, I am responsible for the coordination and implementation of HR business processes, functions and procedures and monitor HR projects and workflow. Working with Operations and department heads to maximise employee performance, to help the company reach its strategic objectives.

My career history has been predominantly within automotive, where I have worked with some companies such as Peugeot Citroen, Continental and Brose, I have undertaken various roles as an HR Manager, BP and Advisory roles, I’ve also worked within Training and Development and Recruitment.

What have some of your highlights been working for Atlas?

I have loved working at Atlas from day one, for me, it’s really different to work with such a caring and considerate culture. In automotive it can be very cutthroat, I find hospitality so fluffy in comparison! I have loved working with the HR Team to bring some cool projects to life, but also loved my role change, and creating a new team ready for the transition!

Tell us about your life outside of work, what would people normally find you doing?

Outside of work you would definitely find me travelling, spending time with friends and family and boozy brunching! I love to travel to new places, cities and explore.

Which one of the Atlas values means the most to you and why? (Be Guest Focused, Work Together, Show Commitment, Strive for Quality)

Work Together is probably most important to me, I have had some exposure to some great project teams, including commercial and operations, I love how at Atlas the project teams are so diverse, different opinions and ideas are so important when it comes to making a project successful!

What are you looking forward to in the future working with Atlas?

Continuing to embed the new HR Operations Team, and see their success as we look to improve processes and work consistently to deliver.

If you had to pick one song that got you through 2020, which song would it be?

The song one is so hard because I love music so much and it’s so hard to choose but it’s got to be Arianna Grande – God Is A Woman.
