Having undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment, Holiday Inn Express® Portsmouth – North is now open. The new hotel is amongst the first Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UK to unveil the 'Next Generation' design, to meet the changing needs of today's 'Smart Travellers'.
Upon opening the hotel has 84 guestrooms, which will increase to 150 by spring 2016 as the next stage of the redevelopment and investment into the property continues. This fresh new design features a completely revamped lounge and lobby area, where guests can relax, dine or work.
Ideally located just off the A27 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, with both the M27 and the A3 (M) nearby travelling to and from the hotel couldn't be easier. Set north of Portsea Island in the district of Farlington, it is a fantastic location for guests travelling into the city centre and beyond.
Free Wi-Fi is available for guests to enjoy throughout the hotel and there are a host of special features in the brand new guestrooms including wall mounted flat-screen TV's. There is also a flexible work/rest corner where traditional desks have been replaced with a comfortable, ergonomically designed multi-use chair and table that can be moved around the room.
As getting a good night sleep is the most important part of staying in a hotel, the new hotel features a larger, cosier bed complete with a padded, noise-reducing headboard which will guarantee guests get a great sleep. Guestrooms also feature a full-length mirror, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board, stylish en-suite complete with a power shower and much more, so that guests really have everything they need while travelling.
For dining, there is the new Express Café and Bar where guests can choose from simple, honest food which is prepared quickly. As always guests can enjoy the included Express Start® breakfast buffet and they now have the option to have it 'on the go' as they start their busy day ahead.
